Our competition winners; Banana Moon Day Nursery

Last September, Bradleys Surfacing Systems attended Childcare Expo in Coventry – an exhibition designed to provide new ideas and resources for early years’ practitioners.

During the two-day exhibition, Bradleys ran a competition for attendees to win their own customised play area surfacing for their educational facility. Banana Moon Day Nursery in Kings Norton were chosen as the winners at random.

After a consultation with Tom, Director of Bradleys Surfacing Systems, Banana Moon chose TigerTurf LIFE synthetic turf for the surfacing, which is colourful, durable and low maintenance – perfect for this type of nursery installation. The project can also be installed with themes such as roadways for role play or educational aids, such number lines and alphabets. A stone base construction was installed for stability and drainage, whilst underneath the synthetic turf, Bradleys hand laid a 15mm rubber shock pad to give a safe and comfortable surface for the children to play on.

Below are images of how the play area looked before the new surfacing, as well as the shock pad that Bradleys installed for the children’s safety. The final surface, in blue can be viewed above.
